Headingley Festival of Ideas Years 10 & 11 Debating Competition Final 2018

Date: Wednesday 21 March 2018

Venue: HEART Centre, Bennett Road, Headingley

Time: 3:30pm to 7:30pm

Leeds Salon hosts the fifth Headingley Festival of Ideas schools debating competition for years 10&11 (ages 14 to 16 years).

The Final is made up of the three north Leeds qualifying round winners - Cardinal Heenan Catholic High, Allerton High and Lawnswood School - and the winners of the Tetley competition for south and central Leeds schools - Woodkirk Academy.

Leading law firm Switalskis Solicitors are once again Event Sponsors. While the Prize Sponsors again include the Human Factor and Safety Group at the University of Leeds' Institute for Transport Studies, and the EU Horizon 2020 project EMPOWERThackray Medical Museum have, again, kindly donated a family ticket for the Best Individual prizes.

The competition uses the sixth-form Debating Matters format. The Final is open to the public but, as places are limited, if you wish to attend please e-mail us at contact@leedssalon.org.uk
