The Tetley Years 10 & 11 Schools Debating Competition 2018

Thursday 25 January 2018, The Tetley, Hunslet Road, Leeds, 3pm to 7pm

The Tetley and The Leeds Salon host the third, annual schools debating competition for Years 10&11 (ages 14 to 16 years) for central and south Leeds schools. The competition is a one-off event, using the format and topic guides of the Institute of Ideas sixth-form Debating Matters competition - which emphasises content over presentational style, and taking ideas and young people seriously.

As well as being crowned The Tetley champions, the winners will also go into the final of the Headingley Festival of Ideas Years 10&11 Competition against the three north Leeds qualifying round winners to be held at the HEART Centre on 21 March.

We are also very pleased to announce that the competition will once again be sponsored by leading Yorkshire law firm, LCF Law.
