The Tetley Years 10 & 11 School Debating Competition 2019

Wednesday 30th January 2019
The Tetley, 3pm to 7:30pm

The Tetley and Leeds Salon host their annual schools debating competition for Years 10&11 (ages 14 to 16 years) for central and south Leeds schools. The competition is a one-off event, using the format and topic guides of the Academy of Ideas sixth-form Debating Matters competition - which emphasises content over presentational style, and taking ideas and young people seriously.

As well as being crowned The Tetley champions, the winners will also go into the final of the Headingley Festival of Ideas Years 10&11 Competition against the three north Leeds qualifying round winners to be held at the HEART Centre on 20th March.

We are also very pleased to announce that the competition will once again be sponsored by leading Yorkshire law firm, LCF Law.
